Fall 2013 Course Schedule OLLI

BATON ROUGE – The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, or OLLI, at LSU announces the release of its new fall 2013 course schedule. Courses begin the week of September 16.

More than 80 courses feature a broad range of topics, including “American Entrepreneurs,” “Russia’s Cultural Treasures,” “Shakespeare Uncovered” and “Jim Engster’s Louisiana.”

“We have an exciting lineup of courses this fall, organized largely by our wonderful volunteer leadership who plan each semester’s classes,” said Wendy Overton, OLLI at LSU program director. “OLLI at LSU is a community of active older adults and we encourage anyone over the age of 50 who loves learning to come join us next month.”

OLLI at LSU is a membership-based learning community of adults age 50 and older. There are no exams or grades at OLLI. Its comprehensive collection of courses provides opportunities for members to investigate interesting topics in a relaxed but stimulating educational and social environment.

OLLI at LSU has more than 1,000 members and consists of five chapters: Lagniappe Chapter in Baton Rouge, Cajun Prairie Chapter in Eunice, Felicianas Chapter in St. Francisville and New Roads, Ascension Chapter in Gonzalez and Assumption Chapter in Pierre Part.
